For over 30 years, I've been helping Irish businesses solve one of their most critical challenges: getting paid what they're owed. My journey into credit control and debt collection started in an unusual place. I spent seven years as Group Management Accountant with Ireland's largest Insurance Brokerage. In that role, I saw firsthand how large corporations manage credit control at scale, the systems they use, the strategies they employ, and most importantly, the costly mistakes they avoid. But I also saw a gap. Small and medium-sized enterprises face the same threats from bad debt as large corporations, but they don't have access to the same level of expertise, resources, or knowledge. That's what drove me to start my own Debt Collection Agency.
Running my own DCA gave me something most consultants don't have: real-world, frontline experience. I wasn't just advising on debt collection, I was doing it. Day in, day out. Dealing with difficult debtors, negotiating with solicitors, initiating legal proceedings, training collectors, and recovering many millions of euros, pounds, dollars, and other currencies for clients across Ireland and all over the world with clients in almost 100 countries.
Over three decades, I've handled it all. From genuine cases where debtors simply couldn't pay OR couldn’t pay NOW, to outright fraud where they had no intention of paying. From straightforward overdue invoices to complex international collections. From training junior collectors to advising Government Ministers. This combination of senior corporate finance experience and hands-on debt collection expertise is what makes my approach unique.
